Why not try something different and make our Tandoori Goat Curry this weekend? 

Our goat is sourced from the amazing Gourmet Goat Lady, her goats are pasture raised, live a stress-free healthy life grazing and socialising as part of a herd. 

Tandoori Goat
Cut of meat: Goat Leg | Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 45 minutes

1kg Goat Leg, cut into 2cm cubes)
4 tbsp. vegetable Cooking Oil
2 Large onions, sliced thinly
2 large tomatoes, diced
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. ginger, finely grated
2 tsp ground coriander
2 tsp ground cumin
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp ground chilli
2 tsp garam masala

1. Sautee onions in olive oil then drain on paper towels.
2. Place onions and a little water in a food processer and mix until they become a paste, put aside.
3. Place tomato’s, ginger and garlic into the food processor and mix into a smooth paste.
4. Place onions in pan and sauté for 2-3 min, then add tomato paste and all the spices. Mix well.
5. Sautee mixture until oil begins to separate, up to ten minutes.
6. Now add the goat, season with salt and sauté until it is well browned.
7. Add ½ cup of water to the pan, stir to mix well, simmer and cover pan. Cook until goat it tender. Make sure you continue to add water if the mixture looks like it is drying. Stir often. The dish should have a fairly thick gravy when done.
8. Serve with fresh coriander and warm Naan bread or plain boiled rice.
